2016 B.C. Moose Recap from Kawdy Outfitters
As we look back at another B.C. moose season here at Kawdy Outfitters, we’re thankful for all of our hunters who chose to join us this year. A big thanks also goes to the guides and who worked hard to make it a success. Here’s a recap from our recent moose hunting adventures.
The early part of the season was marked by rain, fog and some generally wet weather. But as the season progressed, so did the moose rut. And when the big bulls are on the move, it’s hard to complain about weather or anything else!
On these horseback hunts in northern British Columbia, we are able to access some remote areas, allowing us to find bulls of tremendous trophy quality. This year was no exception. Our guides and hunters located some very big bulls this year and we are very excited about the results.
With our camps situated in British Columbia just south of the Yukon border, these moose are classified as Canadian moose. But as you can tell, they share a great deal in common genetically with their Yukon counterparts just across the border.
If you’d like to see more photos from our B.C. hunts for moose and other species, be sure to follow us on Instagram at @kawdyoutfitters or on Facebook at Facebook.com/KawdyOutfitters. Overr the coming weeks and months, we will continue to post photos from the 2016 season.
If you have questions about our horseback hunting adventures in B.C., please see our Moose Hunting Page. Or feel free to contact us for specific details and availability of hunts.
Thanks again to all of our hunters who joined us this season. We are already preparing for and looking forward to another great season in B.C. next year!
