2017 British Columbia Hunting Season Preview

Jul 24, 2017Kawdy News

We’ve been extremely busy prepping for the upcoming hunting season and looking forward to kicking it off in just a few weeks! Conditions in northern British Columbia are looking good and we’re anticipating a very memorable season.

Colin and some of the crew have been in the bush, opening up our camps. We hauled in a significant amount of gear by snowmobile early in the spring. But there’s always a lot of work to be done as we get remote spike camps ready and prepare the cabins for guides and hunters this fall.

We’ve also spent time clearing trails and scouting for game. The country is looking very good this summer and conditions are great. The hunting season begins with our stone sheep hunters at the end of July. Then by the end of August we will be focusing on mountain goats and beginning hunts for moose, mountain caribou and grizzly. The summer has flown by and we are thrilled that the season is about to begin!
Back on the home front, Colin has been working to shoe our main string of horses. And the rest of the crew has all arrived. If you will be hunting with us in British Columbia this season, we are looking forward to seeing you! A great season of hunting adventures lies ahead.

If you are interested in a future hunt or if you’d like to chat with us about availability or options, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’d be happy to answer your questions and help you plan the ultimate adventure!
