Fall Hunting Update from B.C.
Our fall hunting season has been a busy one but very productive here at Kawdy Outfitters. Our guides and hunters have faced their challenges in terms of weather, but that’s to be expected on any wilderness hunt. We’ve had a lot of fun and taken a lot of great animals so far here in northern B.C.
After a very strong finish to our Stone Sheep season, we transitioned quickly into caribou and moose hunting. We had a stretch of unusually wet weather that brought fog and rain. But our guides and hunters kept after it and we still had plenty of action.
With the moose rut getting into full swing, our hunters were able to take some great bulls once again this year. This area continues to hold great numbers of moose and produce some outstanding bulls.
We’ve also seen some excellent mountain caribou this year and our hunters have connected on some great quality caribou bulls. Their heavy antlers, sweeping beams and long tines never cease to impress us. They are a truly stunning animal.
We’d like to extend a sincere thanks to all of our hunters who joined us this season. It was a pleasure hunting with each of you! And of course a big thanks to our guides and staff who help realize these trips of a lifetime for our clients.
