Introducing Our New Airplane at Kawdy Outfitters

May 30, 2017Kawdy News

We are very excited to announce that we recently purchased a new airplane. The plane will be another great asset for Kawdy Outfitters as we continue to to improve the level and quality of service that we can provide on our hunting trips.

We purchased a Piper Super Cruiser PA-12, an ideal plane for the type of work that we do here in the most remote part of British Columbia.

Colin does not have his commercial license, so we will continue to use the excellent local charter companies to fly clients in and out of hunting camps. But the new plane will serve to help us more efficiently move meat and gear, and check on guides and hunters.

Colin has already spent time flying this spring and we are looking forward to the opportunities that this will allow in the future. The extremely remote locations of our hunting camps require careful planning and logistics throughout the season.

While we use airplanes to access our primary camp locations, horses are still used to reach hunt locations on a daily basis and more remote destinations. Having excellent horses is a large part of our success in being able to reach the best hunting locations without having to backpack through this remote and rugged terrain.

If you’re curious about availability or openings for upcoming hunts, please contact us for details. We have a few moose and mountain caribou combo hunts still open for 2018 and we would be happy to discuss the options. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing many of you in hunting camps this season! Never hesitate to call or send us a message with any questions.
