Pre-Season Update from Our B.C. Hunting Camps

Jul 26, 2016Kawdy News

The summer has flown by and the 2016 hunting season is nearly here! We are looking forward to kicking things off at our B.C. hunting camps. Over the past several weeks, we have been busy preparing, hauling horses and getting things ready for the 2016 hunting season. The pre-season routine is always a busy one for an outfitter. Between horses, equipment and camps there are is a long checklist to cover with very little time between the first seasonal access to the area, and the arrival of our first hunters. But thanks to favorable snow conditions this year, we were able to access our hunting camps ahead of schedule.

In addition to preparing camps and stock, this is also a great time of year for us to begin scouting. During the month of July we always enjoy spending time behind the glass, finding those trophy animals of the season. Locating stone sheep rams is a big part of that job, and we’re thrilled to say that things are looking great this year for our stone sheep hunters!

If you’re hunting with us this season, we look forward to seeing you soon! Whether you’re joining us to hunt sheep, mountain goats, moose, caribou, bear or a combination of species, conditions are looking great for another memorable hunting season here in British Columbia.
